6 And David put a garrison in [a]Aram of Dammesek: and the Aramites became servants to David, [b]and brought gifts. And the Lord saved David wheresoever he went.
7 And David took the shields of gold that belonged to the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to [c]Jerusalem.
8 And out of Betah, and Berothai (cities of Hadadezer) king David brought exceedingly much brass.
